Most times, we don’t know that we are the creators of our life experiences and that we cannot hold anybody other than ourselves accountable for our life experiences. Below are some of the ways you might be self-sabotaging and blocking your own success.
1. FOCUSING ON WHAT YOU DON’T WANT
The Law of Attractions says that whatever is your predominant thoughts become your reality. Are you habitually focusing on what you don’t want thereby creating it without knowing? At the subconscious level, where we create, it does not know whether what you are focusing on is good for you or not. As long as you are focusing on it, the subconscious will create it.
2. A NEGATIVE MINDSET
Are you always negative? Do you see nothing but problems and obstacles? Are you always counting your woes and magnifying them without knowing that you are only attracting more to yourself?
3. NOT EXPRESSING GRATITUDE
Do you take things for granted? Do you fail to express gratitude to God and to the smallest of persons who do things for you.? When you are grateful, you are letting God Know that you appreciate what He has done and He will do more. Also, if you express gratitude to any human being who has helped you, he or she will want to do more for you.
4. AFRAID OF FAILURE
Do you believe in your ability or are you constantly telling yourself you will fail because you believe you always fail and you have not given yourself any room to succeed at all? When you have this mindset, you have set yourself up for failure.
5. I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH
Do you see yourself as not being good enough or worthy of anything good? Do you always believe that others are better than you? This mindset will prevent you from stepping out of your comfort zone and doing great things you should be doing.
6. ALWAYS ANGRY AND UNFORGIVING
Are you always angry and unforgiving? When you are angry, you give out negative vibes which will bring unpalatable experiences into your life experience. When you get angry, deal with the issue and as soon as possible get yourself out of that state. With consciousness and constant practice, you will master it.
7. ENVIOUS AND JEALOUS OF THE SUCCESS OF OTHERS
Are you disturbed when your friends are making progress in life or do you rejoice with them for their success knowing that your own will come at the appropriate time? When you do not rejoice with others for their success, you are indirectly telling God that if He gives you something similar you will not be happy with it. So your inability or unwillingness to rejoice with others for their success is a blocker to your own success.
8. NOT WANTING TO BE VISIBLE
Are you one of those who would rather work unannounced? Do you shy away from every opportunity to be visible telling yourself you will rather work behind the scene not knowing that you are actually not doing that in your own interest? God expects us to be bold and courageous. He said He has not given us the spirit of timidity but of power, love and self-discipline. 2Thimothy 1:7
